Shame on some of you! No, it isn’t about THAT! BUT I did get your attention didn’t I? LOL And after all, ALL MY BOBS just wouldn’t have the same effect now would it?!
Actually this is about all the men named John(ny) that have touched my life in some way. One of the first ones is a fellow who I worked with for years and was in many ways my best friend even though he was 15 years younger. We shared a lot of the same interests and helped each other through some of our more painful experiences, as well as the happier ones. He was one of the first people I called when my mom passed away, and he and another friend drove for 5 hours to attend her service. It meant a lot to me. Since I have retired I have lost contact with him . . . something I plan to remedy.
Then there is my friend Ro’s hubby, Johnny and her son, Johnny . . . affectionately known as Big John and Little John respectively. Big John had surgery to remove a bone spur on his shoulder about one month ago. The shoulder is healing nicely, but he had some complications caused by the anesthesia. Thankfully, he is feeling much better now, but he has a long recovery ahead of him, with lots of therapy.
Friends, and Johns in particular, come in handy! They also come in all ages, sizes, and backgrounds. They have supported me, made me laugh, and shown me love. I just wanted them to know that they are appreciated, too. And besides, like I said at the beginning . . . who would wanna read a blog titled ALL MY BOBS . . . although come to think of it . . . just sayin’ . . . hmmm, maybe I should say STAY TUNED.
