Beautiful blue skies and mild temperatures today! We drove the Blue Ridge Parkway south to Mt. Pisgah. Spectacular views! Many of the leaves were off the trees so I can imagine how it must have looked several weeks ago.

Just got the good news. The motorhome will be arriving right after the first of November. We need to plan a 3-day shakedown campout before heading out into the WWR (World Wide Reality). I hope all the fall colors aren't gone by that time.

The resignation/retirement letter was handed in last week. Tomorrow I go back for the last five days of work. On the morning of August 31st, I'm going to wake up and realize that it's finally happened! Think I'll feel at least 30 pounds...

Today's the day I make it official. My letter of resignation/retirement is written and ready to be handed in to my boss. It's hard to believe that it's actually going to happen. I can understand how hard it could be for people to leave a job...

OK, today we did it. We drove down to the dealer and ordered our motorhome. Since they have one like we want on the line now, we hope to have it delivered by the first week of September.
