As a member of Eons, can I share information about my outside business?

Eons recognizes that many of our members have a lot to contribute about their own outside businesses. We are concerned when someone sends a private message, blogs about, or posts a group message about a specific product in a way that can be seen as spam. Please be careful when posting about yourself on Eons or contacting members through private messages. Information about yourself may not be an advertisement for a product or service, only a short description (with no links) of the business to add information about you, not about your business. We advise members to use caution when posting information about outside businesses and products anywhere on the site, and we do not allow links to commercial sites unless we have given permission.

Group posts should be more about adding value to the overall website and to the specific group than soliciting gain from them. Group posts that make reference to an outside business or agency should remain on topic and be legitimate. Posting multiple identical messages is spam. Private messages that make reference to an outside business or agency should only be sent in response to a member who is requesting the information. Please review the Eons Terms of Use for specific terms and to the Eons Community Guidelines.

Eons does offer a specific member group that is called the Eons Marketplace. This is the space on Eons where members can advertise their books, Websites, products and more. We welcome you to post your offerings and give Eons members the opportunity to find just what they might want.

Ultimately, it is our discretion to determine if your behavior in the community is spam.

If you represent a company or organization, you may join Eons as a Registered Headquarter (HQ) Member. Humana, Nintendo Wii, Total Cereal, and others have set up HQ memberships so that they can be part of the Eons community. If you wish to create an HQ membership on Eons, please contact us at advertising@eons.com.
