How do I upload my photos to Eons?

On Eons, photos you add anywhere on Eons go into your Photo Center.

When uploading a photo to a website, it is best to upload a photo in JPG format. To upload a photo to your Photo Center:

  1. Log in to Eons.
  2. Go to your Eons profile.
  3. From your Eons Profilepage, click the Photo Center link from the top menu in purple.
  4. Click the Add photos link.
  5. Click the Choose photos on your computer button. Eons allows you to upload up to 100 MB per month (about 25-50 photos). This will bring up the File Upload window.
  6. In the File Upload window, locate the folder in which you have saved your photos. On most Windows machines, this is the My Pictures subfolder located within your My Documents folder.
  7. Highlight the folder and double-click to open it.
  8. Locate the photo(s) in the folder by clicking through the images. If you stored your photos in a subfolder within My Pictures, just double click on that folder to open it. If you do not see images of your photos, change your view, following these steps (Windows only):
  9. In the File Upload window, click on the View Menu icon at the top right.
  10. Select Thumbnails from the drop down list. You should now see small images of all of your photos.
  11. Click once on the image you want to upload. The name you assigned to that image will appear in the Filename box.
  12. Click the Open button to the right of the filename box.
  13. Type is your photo's title and caption in the fields provided.
  14. Finish your upload by clicking the Add selected photos button.
How do I upload more than one photo at a time?

Now you can upload more than one photo at a time. If you are a Windows user, hold the Control key to choose multiple photos to add. If you are a Mac user, hold the Command key (open-Apple) to choose multiple photos to add.

What photo formats does Eons accept?

Eons accepts photos in jpg or gif format.

How do I organize my photos on Eons into albums?

Within the Photo Center on Eons, you can organize your photos into photo albums. You can use the default photo album or create new albums to organize by subject matter or however you want. Once you have uploaded photos to your Eons Profile, you can move photos into albums.

Is there a limit to how many photos I can upload?

Eons allows you to upload up to 100 MB per month (about 25-50 photos). This is a monthly limit and any unused space does not carry over into the next month.

How do I choose what photos appear on my Eons Profile?
  1. Login to Eons.
  2. From your Eons Profile, click on Photo Center from the menu at the top of the page.
  3. Find the photo you want to display, either by locating it in the All my photos view or in the album where you have placed it.
  4. Click on the photo to enter its detail view page.
  5. Click the gray star icon to the left of the photo's title. The star will turn yellow, which means it has been added to your Favorites folder.
How do I post photos to a Group?

To post a photo to a Group, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Eons.
  2. Go to the Group you wish to post a photo to. You must have already joined the Group.
  3. Go to the Group's photo page by clicking on "Photos" link from the top Group menu.
  4. If you would like to upload a photo from your computer, click the "Choose photos on your computer" button. To choose a photo you have already uploaded to your Eons Photo Center, click the "From Your Photo Center" tab and choose the photo you would like to share in the Group.
  5. If uploading from your computer, in the File Upload window, locate the folder in which you have saved your photos. On most Windows machines, this is the My Pictures subfolder located within your My Documents folder.

  7. Highlight the folder and double-click to open it.
  8. Locate the photo(s) in the folder by clicking through the images. If you stored your photos in a subfolder within My Pictures, just double click on that folder to open it. If you do not see images of your photos, change your view, following these steps (Windows only):
  9. In the File Upload window, click on the View Menu icon at the top right.
  10. Select Thumbnails from the drop down list. You should now see small images of all of your photos.
  11. Click once on the image you want to upload. The name you assigned to that image will appear in the Filename box.
  12. Click the Open button to the right of the filename box. The complete filename, including the entire directory path, will now display in the Select the Photo box on your Update my photos page. Check the filename once more to be sure that you are uploading the correct file.
  13. Click the Continue button to successfully upload the photo.
How do I change the main photo for the Group I manage?

To change a Group’s main photo for a Group you manage, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Eons.
  2. Go to the Group.
  3. Click on the "Manage Group" link.
  4. Click the "Select a photo to represent this Group" link.
  5. From here, you can either upload a new photo, choose one you've already uploaded from your Photo Center, or choose one from the Group's gallery.
